Bravo promotes Brewer in program strategy
In the wake of programming topper Andy Cohen’s reduced role on Bravo, the cabler has upped David Brewer to VP of program strategy and acquisitions under Jerry Leo, who has recently taken over many of Cohen’s old responsibilities. Brewer’s previous post at the network was director of strategic program planning.In the new role, Brewer will supervise scheduling, series rollout planning, motion picture and series acquisitions and lead programming support for the net’s sales and marketing.Brewer has worked on several of Bravo’s high-profile offerings over the last few years — various iterations of the “Real Housewives” franchise, “Top Chef Masters” and “Millionaire Matchmaker.” Prior to his time at the cabler, he worked as an NBC page.Cohen is devoting most of his time to “Watch What Happens Live,” set to change to a five-a-week strip in January.
