Koppel joins Williams’ ‘Rock Center’

NBC’s upcoming newsmag ”Rock Center With Brian Williams” has a new correspondent who will look familiar to broadcast news aficionados: Ted .The longtime ABCer will report for the show, which is scheduled to start on Oct. 31 at 10 p.m., replacing ”The Playboy Club.” ‘s addition to the team has been rumored for some time now.”Ted has touched every major news event spanning almost 5 decades, and not only does he bring a tremendous amount of experience to the broadcast, he is a tireless advocate for quality journalism, and is one of our profession’s premiere storytellers,” stated NBC News prexy Steve Capus in a release issued Thursday.
